This is a bit of Anthropology. Looking at all the violence and warfare in history and the present, have you ever wondered how humans could claim to have a reputation for cooperation? But look around you at all the kind, helpful people ready to dive into any emergency and ask how there could be such violence? We have instincts for both. Cooperation is older. Violence has worked better recently. In the future, we need to take advantage of our older cooperative instincts to build and to avoid violence because it destroys.
